Diagnostic Carotid Angiogram

Injecting contrast dye in the carotid arteries to determine amount of blockage in the carotid artery.

Upper Extremity Angiogram with or without intervention

Contrast study to evaluate arteries of the arms.  If blockages are found, most times can be treated with balloon angioplasty or stents.

Visceral Angiogram with or without intervention

Contrast study of the celiac, superior mesenteric and/or the inferior mesenteric artery to evaluate for blockages with possible balloon angioplasty and/or stenting.

Renal angiogram with or without intervention

Contrast study of the renal arteries to evaluate for blockages with possible balloon angioplasty and/or stenting.

Abdominal Angiogram With or without intervention

Contrast study of the abdominal aorta and iliac arteries to evaluate for blockages with possible balloon angioplasty and/or stenting

Lower Extremity angiogram with or without intervention

Contrast study of the lower extremities with possible treatment of blockages with balloon angioplasty, stenting or atherectomy (removal of plaque from within the artery) or a combination of the three.

Arterial Embolization

Intentionally blocking small arteries that are bleeding, aneurysmal, or have abnormal connections to veins.

Repair of peripheral artery aneurysms

Contrast study that usually uses a covered stent to repair an abnormally enlarged artery.

Temporal Artery biopsy

Procedure to remove a small portion of the temporal artery for pathological evaluation.

Fistulogram

Contrast study to evaluation the size and function of a dialysis access, which may require interventions such as balloon angioplasty and stenting

Dialysis fistula/graft declot

Contrast study that removes the clot from a non-functioning dialysis access and treatment of the underlying issue that caused the problem to begin with. Placement of tunneled dialysis catheters to use as short term dialysis access.

Embolization procedures

Intentionally blocking large branches of fistulas to make the fistula work better.

Ligation of side branch

Minor surgical procedure to shut down competing vein in a dialysis access

Balloon assisted maturation (BAM)

Procedure performed to assist in the maturation of a dialysis fistula

Ligation of dialysis access

Intentionally shutting down a dialysis access that is no longer needed or has a complication.

Tunneled venous access

Vascular access for long term intravenous antibiotics

Port Placement

Place of subcutaneous port for vascular access, typically done for chemotherapy treatments or individuals who are difficult to obtain an iv.

Removal of skin lesions

Debridement of nonviable tissue from wounds

Carotid artery stenting

Done to treat carotid artery stenosis in patients that aren’t open surgical candidates

Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm repair (EVAR)

Minimally invasive procedure to treat aneurysms of the abdominal aorta and iliac arteries.

Thombolysis of arteries and veins

Procedure with tPA(clot busting drug) is infused in a clotted artery or vein.
